Summary
A person sought help from a raqi who required payment before treatment and then arranged repeated paid appointments. When the person was advised to increase worship, du`a, and stronger spiritual steps, the raqi discouraged it and insisted treatment should continue with him first.
This pattern raised a warning sign: the person was being kept dependent.
The Lesson
Payment by itself is not the only issue. The warning signs are control, fear, dependency, false promises, pressure, and discouraging a person from Qur’an, worship, good counsel, or lawful medical care.
A reliable raqi should want you to become stronger with Allah, not weaker without him.
